Back to School: Georgia Tech, Part II
We’re kicking 2017 off with a bang! Quantum Wireless was recently accepted into the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech, the state of Georgia’s technology startup incubator.
ATDC Accelerate is the incubator’s by-invitation-only program for promising technology startups in Georgia. As an Accelerate company, Quantum Wireless will have access to mentors, investors, and educational programs, as well as Georgia Tech resources and talent.
ATDC has an impressive faculty of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence who coach member companies, and we are thrilled to be able to work with such accomplished and talented advisors.
We have some exciting projects underway that are helping us flex the financial model for in-building infrastructure, making it more attractive for both venue owners and wireless carriers. As we continue our work to redefine the business model for commercial wireless infrastructure, we’ll be leaning heavily on ATDC’s resources to help us validate, test and refine our model.
Joining ATDC also gives us access to additional funding sources to continue to grow Quantum Wireless. ATDC companies have collectively raised more than $2 billion in capital, and we’ll be working closely with ATDC resources to define and secure our next round of funding.
And, since Quantum’s President, COO and Director of Program Management are all Georgia Tech grads, we’re returning to familiar stomping grounds on the Tech campus. We’re lucky to once again be part of the GT community at Tech Square, Midtown Atlanta’s technology hub.
2017 is shaping up to be another record year for Quantum Wireless – and we’re excited to continue the journey as an ATDC company!
